The mountains, hills, and shores which form the Earth are normally taken for granted as having always been there when, in reality, they were formed over millions of years. The abundant forests and animals of the Earth, as well as our lives as humans, have been shaped by these geological formations.

Hidden in the land are many tales to be told. A precious place where one can enjoy learning about the living Earth and its relation to our lives. This is what we think of when we say "geopark."

*Global Geoparks make up an international network supported by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
